Today’s fast developments in information technology and management science have led to the emergence of a multidisciplinary field that produces solutions at the academic level to the problems they will need in the subjects such as business decisions support systems, enterprise resource planning, business process management, new business model development, to produce new products and services, providing a competitive advantage. This department, called management information systems worldwide, is seen as a driving force for enterprises to achieve their strategic business goals in a competitive environment.
Constituted on this basis, Management Information Systems is an interdisciplinary department that covers business, management, informatics and technology. It is expected that the administrator who will process and use the information will know the issues related to its use in computers and Management Information Systems. At the same time, companies in the sector need to produce automation solutions to better compete.
When these elements are combined, there is a constant exchange and interaction between people and computers, so businesses need to meet the requirements arising from the combination of these elements. In this regard, it is aimed that our students who graduate from the Department of Management Information Systems have sufficient knowledge of analytical thinking and the structure and management of the organization, as well as to have the most up-to-date information systems and technologies to use the decision processes of managers in the best way.
